The maximum number of hours of continuing education credit that can be issued is 20.25 for individuals attending all three (3) days of the 2011 Institute.

Credit is based on 100% attendance at sessions.

 

2011 Professional Credit

Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals
The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board has APPROVED Recognized Clock Hours (RCHs) for the 2011 Addiction Studies Institute.

**The OCDP Board is an ICRC/AODA Member Board.

Nursing
Pursuant to Ohio Board of Nursing Rule 4723-14-05 Item 6, The Addiction Studies Institute will be using credit approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board for Nursing CEUs. These hours will be recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing for license renewal. Nurses from states other than Ohio should check with their licensing bodies to verify they will accept this credit certificate.

Ohio Psychological
The Ohio Psychological Association has APPROVED continuing education credit for psychologists attending the 2011 Addiction Studies Institute.

Social Work/Professional Counselor/Marriage & Family Therapy
Application has been made for continuing professional education units for social workers, professional counselors and marriage & family therapists through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.

Changing Offender Behavior (COB)
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has APPROVED the following sessions for COB credit:

Other Professionals
A certificate of attendance will be provided for any participant requesting one.  

Academic Credit

Three (3) quarter hours of graduate and undergraduate academic credit are available through The Ohio State University College of Social Work. Academic course tuition and fees are required in addition to Institute registration fees. Receipt of academic credit requires attendance of 20.25 hours of course work and a written reaction paper after the Institute. The course is open to full-time students (Minimum of 11 hours for Undergraduate; and 8 hours for Graduate Students) who have current graduate or undergraduate standing. The class number is 21399 (SOCWORK 694-0010 Group Studies). For information, call 614.292.7684. Details will be sent to you once the request is received.

Graduate students from other institutions may enroll on a non-degree status through The Ohio State University Graduate School. Undergraduates from other universities should contact the above number for information on the process to be used.
